Your privacy is important to us. It is Clōz Outfit’s policy to respect your privacy and comply with applicable laws and regulations regarding any personal information we may collect about you, including through our mobile application and website at https://clozoutfit.com (the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy explains:
what information we collect,
how we use and share it, and
which rights you have in relation to your information.
This policy is effective as of 2 August 2023.
Last updated: 26 November 2025.
What We Mean by “Personal Information”
What We Mean by “Personal Information”
What We Mean by “Personal Information”
In this Privacy Policy, “personal information” (or “personal data”) means any information that identifies you directly (such as your name or email address) or that can reasonably be used to identify you when combined with other information (for example, device identifiers together with wardrobe or account data).
We also collect non-personal information, which does not identify you individually (for example, aggregated statistics about app usage).
Information We Collect
We collect information in two main ways:
Information you provide – information you knowingly and actively provide when using the Services.
Information collected automatically – information that is automatically sent from your device as you access and use the Services.
We only collect information that is reasonably necessary to provide and improve the Services.
Log Data
When you access our servers via our app, we may automatically log the standard data provided by your device. It may include your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, your device type and version, your activity within the app, time and date, and other details about your usage.
Additionally, when you encounter certain errors while using the app, we automatically collect data about the error and the circumstances surrounding its occurrence. This data may include technical details about your device, what you were trying to do when the error happened, and other technical information relating to the problem. You may or may not receive notice of such errors, even in the moment they occur, that they have occurred, or what the nature of the error is.
Please be aware that while this information may not be personally identifying by itself, it may be possible to combine it with other data to personally identify individual persons.
Device Data and Permissions
To deliver core features, Clōz Outfit may request access to the following on your device:
Camera – to take photos of your clothes or yourself (for example, for virtual try-on).
Photo Library / Gallery – to upload existing images of clothing or photos of you.
Storage – to save outfit data or cached content locally on your device.
Location (optional) – to provide weather-based outfit suggestions or context-aware recommendations (e.g., travel, seasons).
Notifications – to remind you about scheduled outfits, new features, or updates.
You can allow or deny these permissions within the app, and you can change your choices in your device settings at any time. Some features may not work properly without the relevant permissions.
Information You Provide to Us
When you interact with the Services, you may provide us with:
Account information – such as your email address, and display name.
Contact information – when you contact us (for example, via email or in-app support), including your name, email address, and the content of your message.
Style profile and preferences, which may include:
age range or date of birth;
general location (such as country or city);
height and approximate body shape;
style preferences, favorite colors, and brands;
goals or context for using the app (e.g., office outfits, travel, special events).
You do not have to provide this profile information, but if you choose not to, some personalization features may work less accurately.
Photos of You and Virtual Try-On Images
In addition to clothing photos, you may choose to upload or capture photos of yourself, including full-body images and selfies, in order to use features such as virtual try-on or AI-powered style assistance.
These images may reveal information about your appearance and environment (for example, body shape, hairstyle, approximate height, tattoos or accessories, background details). We process these images only to:
generate simulated images of outfits on your body;
remove or change backgrounds;
improve the visual quality of images used in the app.
We do not:
use your photos to identify you in the real world;
perform facial recognition to match you to other sources;
intentionally infer sensitive characteristics such as health status, religion, or political opinions from your images.
We ask you not to upload images of other people without their permission and especially not to upload images of minors in inappropriate or sensitive contexts.
You can delete your photos from the app at any time, and we will remove them from our active systems in the ordinary course of business, subject to our legal retention obligations.
“User-generated content” in Clōz includes any materials you voluntarily upload or create within the app, such as:
clothing photos;
outfit combinations and saved looks;
tags, notes, and comments;
outfit calendar entries;
inspiration boards or mood-based outfit collections.
This content is associated with your account and email address.
We use this content to:
provide core features like wardrobe organization, outfit planning, and wardrobe analytics;
power AI-based features that understand your wardrobe and style;
personalize recommendations and outfit suggestions.
If you choose to share content publicly (for example, via a community feature, on our website, or through social media integrations), that content may become visible to others after moderation and approval. Once public, it may be subject to the privacy policies of third-party platforms, which are not governed by this Privacy Policy.
AI Features and Automated Processing
Clōz uses artificial intelligence and machine learning (“AI Features”) to:
generate outfit ideas and style recommendations;
provide explanations and styling tips;
create virtual try-on images and other image transformations;
suggest products and looks that may match your taste.
To deliver these features, we may process:
your wardrobe items and metadata (category, color, style, season, etc.);
your outfit history, likes, dislikes, and feedback;
your photos (for example, full-body images used for try-on);
your in-app activity (e.g., which recommendations you open, save, or skip).
We use this data to:
generate, test, and improve AI models;
personalize the content and suggestions you see;
measure the quality and safety of our AI systems.
We may work with trusted third-party AI infrastructure and model providers to operate these features. Where reasonably possible, we aggregate or de-identify data before using it to improve AI models. We do not use such data to identify you outside of Clōz.
AI-generated outputs can sometimes be inaccurate or incomplete. They are intended for informational and entertainment purposes only, not as professional advice (for example, not as medical, psychological, or financial advice).
Legal Basis for Processing (Where Applicable)
In some regions (such as the European Economic Area (“EEA”)), data protection laws require a legal basis for processing personal information.
Depending on the situation, we may rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
Performance of a contract – to provide the app and related services in line with our Terms of Use.
Legitimate interests – to maintain and improve the app, prevent abuse and fraud, personalize your experience in a non-intrusive way, and support our business operations.
Consent – for certain optional features, such as marketing communications, some uses of location, or connecting social accounts (where consent is required).
If you are a business user or otherwise act as a “controller” of personal data under applicable law, you remain responsible for ensuring that you have an appropriate legal basis to share that data with us and to allow us to process it on your behalf.

We keep your personal information only as long as:
it is needed to provide the Services;

You can delete your account at any time from within the app (where available) or by contacting us at support@clozoutfit.com.
When you request deletion:
we will deactivate your account and remove personal data associated with it from our active systems in the ordinary course of business (typically within a reasonable period, such as 14 business days); and
we may retain certain information where we are required or permitted to do so by law or where it is necessary for our legitimate business purposes (for example, to resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or comply with accounting and tax obligations).
If we need to keep some data for these reasons, we will limit its use to those purposes and delete it once it is no longer needed.
Clōz Outfit is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it as soon as possible. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@clozoutfit.com.

AI infrastructure and model providers – used to generate text and images for AI-based features (such as outfit ideas, style explanations, and virtual try-on images).
These providers process data on our behalf and are only allowed to use it as necessary to perform their services for us, under our instructions and in accordance with applicable law.
We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes without your consent.
Shopping and Affiliate Partners
When you view or tap on products, brands, or shopping links inside Clōz, we may share certain technical information with affiliate networks and retail partners. This may include:
that you clicked a specific link or viewed a specific product;
non-identifying technical information (such as device type, app version);
identifiers used for attribution (for example, a click ID or partner ID).
This allows partners to:
recognize that a purchase came from Clōz;
measure the performance of their campaigns and affiliate programs.
We may receive a commission or other benefit if you make a purchase through these links. Our partners have their own privacy policies, which govern how they collect and use data. We encourage you to review those policies before purchasing from any third-party retailer.
We do not sell your personal information as “sell” is defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). If our practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required notices.
